We are breeding bulls at Bos Park specifically for the harshest cattle environment in the world. The Station country of Central Australia.
This year we offered six bulls to market (see flyer) and donated the inaugural stud heifer prize to the Centralian Beef Breeders Association CBBA Rabobank junior encouragement award in Alice Springs.
All bulls, which were transported from Eastern Queensland placed highly in classes at both Gympie and Maleny shows this year. We wanted to prove we could breed stock that are competitive with the best of the breed and then deliver them directly to Alice Springs for promotion and sale every year.
We offer our bulls exclusively at the Alice Springs show, so you know you are getting the best we can breed. This was rewarded at the Annual show sale Auction where Bos Park received the top price of all breeds at $7,750.00 for Bos Park Encore (pictured led by Steven Hayes as he won the handlers Competition) who was also champion Droughtmaster bull. Bos Park also received the highest average price of the sale.
Many thanks to Andy and Jane Hayes at ‘The Garden’ Station and Wally Kline at ‘Orange Creek’ Station for their support for the last two years running.
Rather than chase headlines for an overpriced stud sire, we wanted to deliver honest hardworking bulls that will breed high performance steers, bullocks and replacement heifers to those that will appreciate it the most and hope that this quality will be rewarded with fair prices at Auction. This has certainly been achieved this year and has encouraged us to lift the standard further again.
